Chapter 36: A rare sight

Yuichi sat up on the bed, wincing as his hand went to the cheek where Mira had slapped him. His face was beet red, a mix of shock and pain written all over it. Mira was standing beside the bed, her head bowed, apologizing profusely.

"I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry!" Mira said, her voice trembling. "I just… I don't know what came over me".

Yuichi took a deep breath and let it out slowly, trying to calm himself down. "It's okay," He said, his tone gentle. "I know you didn't mean it. Just…".

Yuichi paused and turned his head to the side, a deadpan expression on his face as he posed the question, "May I know why you were... licking my finger earlier?" 

Mira's face immediately flushed with embarrassment at the question. She raised her head and began stammering, struggling to form a coherent response.
