To this day, Shae doesn't remember much of the quests Summer helped her with that day. She just remembers that she followed him everywhere like she used to with Wales. Azeroth is so big, almost bigger than the town Shae grew up in.
The quests that would normally take Shae an entire day to do were done within two hours with Summer and his tiger. It is soon around night time and it's time to say goodbye.
Normally Shae gets off at around 4pm and takes a nap in her room. But with Summer, she feels so safe, as if she had someone to reply on, a feeling she hadn't experienced in forever.
"mmm, I have to log off for the night." Shae wishes she could stay longer. But her dad is coming home and he won't like to see Shae playing video games.
"Sure, great team work! Nano Sheep" That's Shae's in game name.
Shae feels a sudden sadness, she wants to ask if Summer would like to play together again. But since the new expansion (Burning Crusade) had just been launched, players, have been playing day and night to level up. "Who's gonna wait for me to do the quests...Yeah stupid me for even having this dumb idea." Shae mocks herself.
"Yeah have a good night, thanks for your help. And...Your tiger's" Shae looks at the tiger, having fought all day now he clearly looks exhausted and even his big whiskers looks dried up by the summer heat.
"Hey you wanna play again tomorrow?" To Shae's surprise, Summer asks.
"Oh. Yes I would love to but I wouldn't be able to log on until 10am...After my dad leaves to work." Shae is convinced Summer won't wait until tomorrow morning, the night is still too young.
"No problem, I will see you tomorrow morning then." Summer shrugs.
"Wait...Are you not doing the quests tonight?" Shae is quite confused.
"Nah I will wait for you to get on tomorrow and do them together." Shae is frankly quite surprised Summer would be willing to wait for her.
"Ok come here." Summer led Shae into a stall covered with canvas next to a castle. "I will wait for you here tomorrow ok? And we will do the quests with my tiger lol"
"Well I am not sure when my dad will leave tomorrow, I can't promise what time I will get on." Shae feels embarrassed that she has can't even decide when she can play a game. She doesn't want Summer to laugh at her.
"Gotcha, don't worry, I will be here until you get on. Now you have a goodnight Sheepie." Summer smiles, tiger opens his eyes and stares at Shae as if he understands.
Shae sat down and logged off right next to Summer. "I wonder if he will wait for me. I guess I will find out tomorrow". Shae now has something to look forward to the next day, something she hasn't had in a long time.
At night, Shae lost sleep again. Not because of school as usual, but she is afraid he won't be there. On one hand, she can't wait for tomorrow so she can see him again, the other hand, she is so anxious to be let down and be alone again. Shae did not realize how lonely she has been until she's had a taste of company, even from a stranger in a video game.
