Chapter 280: Espionage (1)

At a tavern of the fallen kingdom of Zion, a certain Calypso was busy in his search for a person with the gift of clairvoyance. With his journey taking him to parts unknown even to himself at times, all of his efforts landed him in one of the worst places one could ever find themselves in during these turbulent times. 

"C-Calypso~"

Zion had been one of the free kingdoms once. That was until Helion's armies ravaged the land, forcing the former king to surrender or face untold destruction. From there, all who willingly surrendered got themselves branded with the mark of Helion, a sign that they'd completely given up in favor of being ruled over by their former enemies.

"Ugh… That's it, Asura…"

Still, based on what Calypso had seen thus far, life went on despite their subjugation. The people lived their own lives unabated, their marks now a normal part of their lives as they did as any normal citizen of any kingdom would do.
