The stench coming from the vessel was, without question, infinitely more nauseating than the combined smell of the mummified remains and the red-brown liquid pooled beneath his feet.
Kairav quickly shut the vessel with a grimace and shoved it back to its original place. "Are they vampires or what?" he grumbled, fighting the churn in his stomach.
"Don't touch things at random. We don't know what's medicine and what's poison here," the nameless young man chided, noticing the commotion.
"Sorry, Bro. Not like me to be this careless," Kairav replied.
The nameless young man refocused on the stone altar in front of him, inspecting something he had noticed beneath the kneeling mummy's feet. He gently brushed some of the red-brown fluid off the stone altar, his brows furrowing as he uncovered a carved relief.
"Take a look at this."
