Chapter 23: The Cheater and the Portal

Venus spent her time on the spacecraft after her mating seclusion. She was relieved that the king did not pay her a visit or summon her to the main tower. Her thoughts were also occupied by the silver book, the bone-eater, and the flesh-suckers.

She went to the queen's tower while wearing her invisibility suit. She wore the necklace she discovered in the monster world, coating it in invisibility materials so that no one could see it except her. Even the robot cleaner has the invisibility feature that Lilet and her androids have. The queen's tower was absolutely breathtaking.

Venus strolled through the queen's tower, admiring the fine craftsmanship of the furniture, the detailed carvings in the dark wood, the comforter draped over the bed, and the heavy draperies hung from the canopy. The royal crest was lavishly embroidered on the comforter and draperies. Several books were arranged on a long table at the foot of the couch.
