A few moments ago, just when the giant spider jumped on the trees...
Ben was fighting the giant spider while using his experience as 'The Human Monkey' from his past life to jump like a monkey, weaving through the foliage of leaves and branches, he would wave his sword to block and attack the spider is it gets too close.
The maneuverability of the giant creature wasn't something it's giant body should do. Because of its height difference with Ben, Ben could only strike it's legs that were as strong metal itself.
Ben was lucky he increased the quality of his sword, if not, it must have broken by now after so many strikes. Even still, cracks still appeared on the sword. Lucy who was keeping track of all eight individuals informed Ben about the four juniors returning. Ben's face turned ugly. He was doing this for them, yet, here they were returning to the cafe he just set them free from!
The spider didn't give Ben any breathing space. He had to end this fight fast or else those four idiots will be in greater trouble. Without hesitation Ben unleashed his Universal Plane to bore down on the spider, causing the spider's movement to momentarily slow down.
Feeling something invisible yet more powerful than itself crashing down of it, it cowered in fear. This was the power that came with having the strength of a Universe! Getting this slim chance, Ben pumped in tons of elemental magic from his Flame halo into his sword, he gave a powerful slash with flames dancing on his sword, turning the sword crimson red. Like cutting butter with hot knife he cut the giant spider in two and let it fall.
"Ahhh! How dare you?! I swear I am going to flay you!" from down below Ben heard a scream from one of the hobo witches that performed the summoning magic.
With the Forest Parade he heard the four juniors getting closer, he gave his sword a glance and smiled bitterly. The sword in his hands was about to become useless with his next strike. Without further ado Ben gathered even more fire magic onto his sword and gave out powerful swings after swing at where the remaining four hobo wizards stood.
BOOM!!
With the help of gravity and oxygen, their speed and size increased by a lot engulfing the four in a sea of flames. It was at this moment the four from The Phantom saw giant fireballs the the size bigger than a human head land on the four losers creating a shockwave. They were momentarily speechless by the sight.
"Powerful!" was all Norman could mutter. Ben on the other hand was surprised to find out that they didn't just come back for no reason, they came back to help him. He smiled imagining his stay at The Phantom would be nice. With no one the wiser he left the place.
...
A young man about twenty years of age with silky smooth black hair that went past his shoulder freely and striking purple eyes that captivated many, especially the ladies, he walked beside a powerful red stallion with blond mane, it's black eyes had a tint of intelligence to it.
These two were naturally Ben and his horse, Flamion, he dragged his horse by the reign and the horse following behind. Both man and horse are walking noiselessly in the woods. Yes, Ben actually became so bored that he decided to teach his horse such a complex technique, to him he felt this showed how close they were together, and how bored he had been throughout his stay in the woods all alone, all along.
It was a bit hard at first because he would have to be talking to a horse. Most of the time it understood what Ben was indicating, but the times it didn't was the times Ben was getting frustrated doing such a dumb thing, however, he knew it was for the greater good.
It was until one morning Ben woke up so abruptly one would think he finally found his missing coin. He woke up all because he couldn't hear Flamion, he did hear some slightly Off-notes moving round his tent in a slow pace. Ben had thought he was being ambushed or attacked by very trained Thieves, the first thing that got to his mind was Flamion. He jumped out of the tent like a startled rabbit and got ready to attack only to see his horse making as little noise as it could while moving round the tent. When it saw Ben was up it rush towards Ben neighing as though to show off it's achievement.
Back to the present...
Before reaching a small pond Ben made Flamion to stop walking with the Forest Parade, the horses footstep started to get heard together with his. He did this because Ben found out that four people were close-by, just sitting by the pond. Those were the four juniors from The Phantom.
He was following behind them all along so he could reach The Phantom the same time they did without them knowing. But, after they stopped by the pond Ben had a better idea. Why not approach them?
Hearing footsteps coming from the direction of the woods made the four students tense up a lot. Norman told the others to join their Mindpower together to make an even larger Mindpower scan, it allowed them have a sharper sensing ability and indeed someone was heading their way with a horse.
It is known that when more than one wizard spread their Mindpower together and connect them it allows them to see sharper and farther than doing it individually. It is a good way to 'see' the danger if only one person can't.
But still, every sweet thing isn't good. It only allows them to give out all of their Mindpower to get half the result. Imagine ten Entrance-level Spellcasters with only 5 to 10 points of Mindpower, when they pour in their Mindpower to make a bigger scanner they won't 'see' up to 100 metres but half of that, 50 meets. And secondly, it drains them of their Mindpower leaving them almost vulnerable.
Because of the consumption the combined skill has they quickly stopped the scan. They waited for the person to come into view, but immediately he was within their individual Mindpower reach they locked in on him.
"Huh? Why do a feel all weird and uncomfortable? There must be people up ahead... I hope." Ben said aloud so even with their distance their Mindpower could 'hear' him.
This made the four both anxious and worried. They weren't in the right condition for a fight, because if they do they might not just lose some limbs, they may lose their lives with it. The party didn't expect to see a young man not much older than twenty all by himself so deep in the woods. This only heightened their worry as they saw Ben make his way to view.
"Oh, it's you guys. I'm lucky to have found you." Ben said excitedly.
"Who are you? And what do you mean your lucky to have found us?" Norman asked icily looking at Ben, magic began stirring up in the air around him.
"Don't you think your putting yourself at risk with that? Cause I remember when you could barely stand a few minutes back." Ben behaved as though the magic wasn't locked on him and stated.
"I said, who are you?" Norman asked again manifesting a ball of fire that stayed afloat on his palm.
"I'm Ben." Ben said shortly. Nothing more nothing less.
"..."
"..."
"What are you doing here?" one of the girls called Missy asked, she seemed to try and ease the tension between the two sides.
"Are The Phantoms this inhospitable to people they see in the first instance?" Ben frowned "Well, it doesn't matter," Ben shrug. "I'm a from Moonlight Kingdom and a Chosen of The Phantom." Ben said matter of factly.
"What?"
"You're a Chosen of The Phantom?"
"How did you get here all by yourself all the way from another Kingdom?"
The four were in shock when they heard what Ben had said. A Chosen, they have one extra Chosen! They were so emotionally touched because the last attack they suffered from Fordox took the lives of three Chosens out of five. It was a tragedy, yet the only thing The Phantom could do was to try and send out more reinforcement to escort the other incoming Chosens.
