Chapter 33: 33 Fighting A Giant Rat 2
"Attack again!!!" Ben shouted again as he used the chains to drag the Spirit Colossal Rat to where it was.
By now the dust cleared up. When they saw the half evolved Spirit Colossal Rat they couldn't help but gasp. Hesitation was deadly especially in a fight like this, so without further hesitation they all attacked again. Although the attack was a good one it brought one more disadvantage than advantage.
The chains had blocked part of the attack and it still broke too pieces, freeing the demon creature.
'Shit, why didn't I think of that?' Ben thought in his head.
Since the Spirit Colossal Rat successfully burnt half of its life force it didn't completely evolve because if the interruption, it still touched the threshold of the Warrior Level allowing it to gain a new ability - Laser eyes.
Suffering minimal injuries during its escape gave it the chance to launch its newest attack on Flash. Ben still had his mind power spread saw the creatures target was Flash. A bright red dot started to glow at the centre of its eyes.
Ben was astonished when he saw this new ability but quickly came back to his senses when he saw the laser moving towards Flash's heart. Adrenaline flooded Ben's body, as though time stopped, Ben raced towards Flash with all his might and pushed him away from the incoming laser beam.
"Argh...!" Flash cried out in pain as a burning sensation spread throughout his body. Ben wasn't fast enough as the laser still burnt through Flash's shoulder. They both landed in the ground.
Ben spun to see the Spirit Colossal Rat diving at both of them from a high altitude. All those around were all petrified as they saw the Giant rat diving at the two bodies on the floor, even Ben's brain paused at the sight, he saw it's sharp claws aiming for his heart.
Ben could vaguely see the cruel and ruthless smile on the rat's face and an expression that says 'since you puny humans made me burn my life force, then I'll take you down with me'.
Thud
The Spirit Colossal Rat landed in the two bodies with a loud thud, you could even hear cracking bones as it fell. However what made the others confused was that it no longer stood up to attack them. It just laid there like the two humans it was on were comfortable sofas.

"Sir, there seems to be something going on a few kilometers from where I came from, I can feel faint elemental energy, I think there's a fight going on over there." a thin man among the Black Bear Hunters Group felt a very subtle vibration. He placed his palm on the floor to feel the vibration and where it is coming from, after confirming it he went to inform their scouting leader. This was another ability of an earth elemental swordsman
"Quick, let's go and check what's going on. It may be the students..." the leader of the group was glad to hear something new after do long. "... go and inform the Head Trading Instructor and the captain about our findings and coordinates, asap."

There was a larger group behind the vanguard group, this was were the captain, other training instructors and other members of the Hunters squad can be found.
"Captain, I and my team detected elemental energy ten kilometres Northwest from here, should we proceed in that direction?" the earth elemental swordsman the felt the vibration and elemental energy came into captain Marko's tent and reported at once.
"Did you see the students? Where are they now? Bring me to them at once!" Mr Han who was presently there stood up and grabbing the man by the collar and shouted to his face, this shows how much his frustration has built up.
"Sir, we haven't confirmed if it was the students elemental energy or not, I was only tasked to bring news by our squad leader." the man hastily said. The aura of A Second Level elemental swordsman Mr Han was unintentionally releasing sent chills down his spine, his back was already soaked with sweat.
"Bring us there at once." captain Marko couldn't sit there and watch other people bullying his men.
"Yes, captain."
Traveling fora long distance by foot was not a problem for these men, the power of an elemental swordsman is unfathomable. A 50 year old elemental swordsman can run for a very long distance and not get tired unlike normies at 50.

"Ben!! Flash!!"
Jeremy and the others stood rooted to the ground not daring to come closer to the three on the ground. Some of them were about to have a mental breakdown.
They all gasp when they saw Flash who was more visible under the Giant rat moved, or more like was moved. Flash was already unconscious when he was pushed out from underneath the Giant rat.
"Quick someone, help him!" Mia was quick to snap out of the shock shouting. She dashed towards Flash, she was scared of the Spirit Colossal Rat but didn't think of it for now. Her shout brought tyre rest back to reality, Parker and Jeremy came forth to drag Flash out.
"What about Ben?" Kate asked worriedly as they couldn't see Ben's body.
"I don't think he'll survive that, it went for his heart." Jeremy said a bit dejected.
"No matter what, let's bring his body... "
"I need help... " a very muffled voice came from the laying Giant rat, interrupting Mia's words.
"Did you hear that?" Parke asked.
"Guys, I can't breathe... help..." the voice said again, this time it was clearer.
"It's Ben! someone quick give a hand!" Vanessa came up and tried pushing the Giant rat off Ben but couldn't.
Mia and the others left Flash with Kate to run back to get Ben. The four put hands together to move the dead Spirit Colossal Rat from Ben, in the middle of pushing rustling sounds came all around the the woods they used for the Spirit Colossal Rat's trap. Not knowing what it may be, the students all stood up with their swords at hand.
A huge energy blast destroyed the boulder that was set at the entrance of the area. The team didn't know what may be at the other side of the unsettled dust, but they all stepped forward with their swords in front of them, Ben and the Spirit Colossal Rat were now behind the four of them. Mia even went as far as unleashing her domain again to increase their chances.
"Sir, captain, we've found them!" a young lady's voice came from within the woods into the ears of the students. Hearing a voice in the middle of the mountain was really a surprise to them all. They did not expect any other people to be this far, at least, to their direction deep in the mountain.
Swoosh Swoosh
After the man's voice fell two silhouette came into the place very fast as they ran. These two were captain Marko and Head Training Instructor Han. Mr Han came forward and took a look at all of them and found out there was a minus one again. His heart couldn't help but shake.
"Where's Benja..."
"Guys! Aren't you gonna help?! I said I can't breathe! I'm gonna die, I don't want to die under a rat!" Ben's muffled voice interrupted Mr Han from under the Spirit Colossal Rat.
Swoosh
All heads turned to face the Giant rat.
"Head Instructor help, Ben's underneath the... " before Vanessa could even finish what she was saying Mr Han had already reached the side of the Spirit Colossal Rat and gave it a hard push. the Giant rat landed with a loud thud.
"""Gasp!""" everyone as the scene sucked in cold air when they saw the claws sticking into Ben's chest being pulled out as the rat fell.
"Hiss" Ben obviously felt the sharp pain on his chest.
"Shit, their poisonous claws. Someone bring a first aid box quickly!" Mr Han shouted.
"Mia could you get me my bag... " Ben looked at Mia and said "...Head Instructor don't worry I have an anti-poison antidote I just need... "
"Shut the hell up and let me treat you, so better keep quite!" Mr Han interrupted Ben as he received a big red bag, probably the first-aid box he spoke of earlier. Rip. Mr Han didn't care as he straight away tore Ben's clothes from his body. he picked up a green bottle and was about to apply it when Ben held his hand "What is the meaning of this? you're going to die if I don't treat you." Mr Han was starting to become a little annoyed by Ben's actions.
"No, I'm going to die if you put that into my wounds. It's poisoned." Ben whispered that last part where only Mr Han could hear him. Mr Han's eyes widen with shock when he heard this, Ben said again "tell Mia to get my bag."
Hearing this Mr Han opened the bottle and sniffed it in doubt. Although he couldn't say he was an alchemist or potion maker, he has used quite a few potions in his life, especially the healing potion. And to his shock he was able to discern the difference in this potion, and sure of course it was poisoned.
"Mia, get me Ben's bag quickly." Ben was surprised their Head Instructor was able to change his expression faster than flipping a book.
Mia didn't know what the two were discussing about but still went to do what she has been instructed to do. Besides Ben's life is at stake here. Mia brought the bag and handed it over to their Head Instructor.
Mr Han received the bag, he noticed it was empty apart from a few books. He then looked at Ben in confusion. Ben places his right hand that had a pitch black ring into the bag. Mr Han saw the whole process as fine potion started appearing out of nowhere inside the bag. Mr Han was shocked but the present situation didn't allow distractions. After Ben was done selecting the right potions he took out his hands, Mr Han casually took out a bottle like nothing happened, he began applying it according to what was while giving Ben two to drink.
