“Umm, I’ve got an aquarium over here,” she said, almost disappointed. “With some big black slugs.”
“How big?”
“Maybe half the length of my forearm.”
“That’s not so bad.” All things considered, Moíra probably could have created ones the size of small cars if she wanted. But, knowing her past work, they probably spit poison or had razor sharp teeth.
“What do you have?” she asked as though they were on a safari. She may not think of herself as a killer, but she seemed to be enjoying the sights, at least for now.
Stepping away. “It’s a garden. Weird plants. Fruit.”
Yuuki turned to face her and raised an eyebrow. She switched off her flashlight, which had gone unused at her side since before the conversation began. “Oh, shit. How much you wanna bet these two are for food? I mean, food for the things.”
