~ ZARA ~
An hour later, after Abigail had fussed and helped, tucked me in like a child, then hung around to make sure I slept, I was relieved to finally hear the door out of the suite open and close.
I waited a few minutes to make sure she wasn't coming back, then slipped out of bed, threw the soft robe over my shoulders that Abigail had left in case it was cold when I needed to use the facilities in the night, then gathered up the five little cones of thread that she'd left for me, looking slightly confused, but not challenging me on it, for which I was grateful.
I knew she hadn't believed my little story about wanting something to do with my hands when she'd tried to insist that she could do any mending needed, but she was kind enough not to question me after the third time I insisted. And she'd even asked me how many spools I needed.
