Chapter 1: Chapter 01

It was a peaceful day hearing bird chirpings from far away while I was closing my eyes on the bed. But my peaceful morning was interrupted by loud thuds yet rhythmical on my room door.

"I'm alreadyyy up. Don't shout!" I groaned back with my sleepy voice.

"It's me idiot, come downstairs to eat or else I'll eat'' a familiar yet manly voice echoed from the outside of the door. Ah this frog. Why did he come all along here at this time? It's none other than my annoying cousin brother. Well I came home after one month of my site visits. I've been working as an IT consultant for about 1 year now. It's hectic yet fun to have site visits with team mates. So here I am, having a respectful holiday for a whole week. Why can't these people let me sleep more?

I lazily checked my phone for any new notifications. It was almost full but didn't have any important notification. I went for my morning routine while switching on my playlist from the phone. After the warm wash I jogged into my softest yet favorite hoodie with a short.

"Are you coming downstairs or should I serve you drama queen?" oh yeah, it was my mom. She only likes to feed me. Always yells to remind me of meals. Well I'm not a foodie.

"Yeah yeah I'm coming, why are you guys shouting arghhh?" I stepped down from my palace to her kitchen with the dining room.

"Okay I'm going then,oh... Love, I missed you girl" Dad came near me wrapped around me in his arms. It felt so good after a long time, I missed these people seriously.

"Okay dad, be safe on your way!" He placed a soft kiss on my forehead before leaving the kitchen. "Loving sister, can we eat? I'm really hungry!" There he goes. My cousin brother and I were like best friends of the whole family. He knew my secrets & I knew his. Most of the crackhead versions had him. He is my comfort place.

"Since you're at home, You've somewhere to go" Mom said while I was sitting in front of her. "Uh...where? I'm not going anywhe-" I couldn't end it as she "No buts, you're going that's it" and stood from her seat. "Mom...do you really not like to see me at home? Do you hate me that much?" I was out of my words & frustrated. I felt a sharp kick on my leg & I saw who it was. My cool bro was fuming in his anger about my words earlier. I kept silent.

"Baby...it's not what I meant. I'm sorry. You've someone to meet. Even this boy will come with you" After her words, my brother was like why the fish I'm going with her?. "Sorry bro, You'll come with me to hell too" I whispered at him while having a smirk. "Shut up" He mouthed at me after giving me an annoyed face. "So baby, will you go?" Mom asked me hopefully to get a positive answer. I didn't have any option so I just nodded. "Yesh!" at the same time mom & my brother said it to make my mood amazed. "Why! Why you guys? Don't tell me you both arranged something stupid? Did you? " I smacked on the table while standing up. Mom left saying "Oh my omelet was on the pan". Brother was about to leave while having food in his mouth. "You...what was it huh? Tell me. Was it your plan or?" I pinched his ear to earn an answer. He dramatically mumbled as his mouth was full.

I came out of the house to take some cold air as I missed the atmosphere already. It's the day I have to go to meet someone. I don't think it's a blind date or something because I've eavesdropped on who is coming. And he has been none other than my enemy since my school days. I was all confused to admit why I have to meet, or maybe his parents will also come. Actually their conversation wasn't like a blind date. I let out a heavy breath as I could remember my last blind dates.

"Yah, what are you still doing here? Go get ready my beautiful sister!" There he goes. He said while getting his arm over my shoulders. "You too come with me right?" I made my puppy eyes even more innocently to get a better answer. "Till door steps, you should've seen-" as he covered his mouth with widened eyes. "Seen? Who?" He was making me nervous now. It's true that I couldn't see them for almost 10,15 years as I wasn't here for higher studies. "Go get ready & come" He patted my back to push me inside the house.

"Seriously, why are we doing this? I don't wanna go" I annoyingly buckled up my seat belts while looking at him. "I believe you won't regret this" as we started to drive off to the restaurant. I've almost gone for 3,4 blind dates which didn't go well, to be honest I was so nervous for this. "Okay here we're queen, Take a deep breath & go...I'll wait for you" He said it while taking the last turn to the restaurant. "Why the fish I'm going alone? Dude, what is this?" I whined like a baby unbuckling my seat belt.

"Go straight for the receptionist & tell your name, That's it! Go Go." He tapped on my shoulders as I annoyedly shredded them off. "Don't ever vanish from here, Okay?" I stepped out of my seat while saying it. "Okay Maám" as he dramatically saluted me. "Bish" I mumbled, taking my step towards the restaurant.
