Vanessa looked at him with incredulity. "Better option?" She scoffed. "And who are you to think about what's better for me? How do you know what's better for me? You had a press conference about me, admitted to having a relationship we don't have, and I'm the last to hear about it. And now you want to talk?" Vanessa asked with livid eyes.

"Fine. Go ahead and talk. I'm listening!" she said as she stopped what she was doing and moved closer to him giving him her full attention.

Alex looked at her apologetically, "Ben welcomed me to the office with the new gossip articles this morning. The board was already calling for a meeting. I figured I do the press conference and answer everyone's question so they would stop hounding us. They are going to see us together a lot going forward and I did not want you to keep hiding like you did at the parking lot this morning," Alex explained, but as good as his intentions were, Vanessa was not pleased.
