It's not been too long that we're walking, and already the night is blending into the pink rays of the dawn. The forest doesn't look that intimidating in the fresh light of the morning.

Lloyerd squeezes my hand slightly, somehow feeling my tension, before even myself can acknowledge it. That's the magic of him.

"Are you alright, my princess?", the concern laced in his velvety voice is a little overwhelming for a moment, considering nothing as such has even happened to me.

I quickly recover and nod a prompt yes. His eyes narrow fractionally as he studies my face. Then he shakes his head with a cynical smile.
