Getting the team to the base, I led our latest member to her new room. I noticed her awe at the advanced technology surrounding her. Turning to Frenchy and Charlotte, I said,
"Frenchy, Lolla, help her get settled. Make sure she's comfortable, later slowly try to teach her our language and how to communicate with us." They nodded, guiding Kimiko ahead, while I turned and headed toward the lab.
I phased through a particular wall, entering my secret section where I kept the V. The computer displayed the completed analysis of Compound V and Temp V.
I sat back in a cushioned chair, swiping my arm to bring up a holographic screen and keyboard. As I reviewed the base ingredients and the process to create the drugs, I sighed. "Nope, I'm absolutely sure now. Either that professor was a genius or a madman."
But I digress—useful, if not dangerous. I began working on how to recreate the drugs, aiming to enhance them while eliminating the side effects. Easier said than done, I know, but everyone has to start somewhere.
The key components of the drug spun in the hologram before me as I examined each part. This will take time, but I already had an inspiration for how I wanted to remake them—something from a movie I watched in my past life. *Project Power.*
Yes, that movie with a pill that, when twisted, activated a chemical fusion inside it, causing it to glow, and when swallowed, it triggered the manifestation of a person's potential power. It wasn't perfected—there were defects and side effects—but it sparked an idea. Now, I'll see what I can do about it.
"SPADE, start a new project," I commanded, my mind racing. "Encrypt the file and name it 'Project Power.' Keep it off our main servers—store it in the hidden one."
The AI responded with a series of beeps, its interface flickering as it began the process. I could almost sense its artificial curiosity, a subtle hum of activity as it carried out my instructions.
I closed my eyes, breathing steadily, letting the memories of the movie play in my mind. Every detail, every scene—analyzing, dissecting, envisioning how I could turn that fiction into my reality.

Pharmacology and Drug Design, Biochemistry, Genetics and Genomics, Nanotechnology, Neuroscience, Molecular Biology, Toxicology and finally Advanced Mathematics and Statistics. Each field of scientific knowledge in my past life was at my disposal, now all I had to do is apply them to my current project.
(3rd POV)
Reggie began by isolating the active components of the drugs. Using {Fractional Precipitation}, he dissolved Compound V and Temp V in separate baths of DMSO, adding ethanol to precipitate out the different components based on their solubility. Hours later, he had several vials of precipitate lined up on the table, each containing a distinct fraction of the original compound.
He fed these fractions into a {High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC)} machine, separating the compounds with precision. The machine's results confirmed the presence of {V-Proteins}, {N-Glycan Modifiers}, and {Catalytic Enhancers}—each a crucial part of the puzzle but also responsible for the drugs' dangerous side effects.
Reggie moved on to structural analysis. He ran the samples through a {Mass Spectrometer} and {Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR)} spectroscopy, mapping out their molecular structures. The {N-Glycan Modifiers} were particularly problematic, responsible for the drug's unpredictable side effects due to their unstable molecular regions.
"You're a tricky one," Reggie frowned as he murmured, the computer highlighted the unstable regions. Before he cracked his fingers getting back to work, "But I think I know how to fix you."
----------
Reggie began by targeting the {V-Proteins}. He synthesized a new molecule, {Cytokine Stabilizer 17}, designed to reduce cellular stress and prevent degradation. When introduced into the protein structure, the simulation showed a reduction in cytotoxic effects, though it slightly diminished potency.
Next, he turned his attention to the {N-Glycan Modifiers}, taming them with a synthetic analog he dubbed {GlycoSafe-23}. This compound maintained the necessary binding properties but offered a more controlled release, reducing off-target effects. The simulations confirmed his success: the new compound was more stable, with far fewer side effects.
"Alright alright, We're getting somewhere," Reggie mused with a smile, as the data continued to stream across the screen.
----------------------
Satisfied with the initial results, Reggie decided to create two distinct versions of the enhanced drug: one that would provide permanent powers and another that would last only 24 hours.
For the [Permanent Version], he synthesized a new form of Compound V, incorporating {GeneLinker X}, a compound designed to integrate the changes directly into the user's DNA. Testing on genetically modified cells showed that the effects were stable and permanent, with no sign of the cellular degradation that had plagued the original Compound V.
For the [24-Hour Version], Reggie reintroduced the {Catalytic Enhancers} in a modified form, which he called {Catalyst 24}. This version included a {Controlled Release Polymer}, ensuring that the effects would last precisely 24 hours before being metabolized completely.
The pill would have a {Twist-Activation Mechanism}—a design inspired by a movie from his past life, Project Power —where twisting the pill would trigger a chemical fusion, activating the components and causing the pill to glow ominously.
He encapsulated the new drugs and ran them through {Pharmacokinetic Analysis} and {Microscale Thermophoresis (MST)} tests. The [Permanent Version] integrated seamlessly into DNA, while the [24-Hour Version] provided a controlled, temporary boost without any residual side effects.
Finished with his tiring work, Reggie stood before two pills—one glowing green faintly with potential, the other solid blue, steady, and permanent. He had turned a dangerous, unstable substance into something refined, something that could be controlled.
The world wasn't ready for what he had created, but when the time came, and he would be there, ready to unleash the results of his alchemy of power 'mwu hahahahahah yes heathens bow bef–you know what i think it's about time for me to sleep.'
But nonetheless he smiled to himself, knowing that he did it. That in his hands, he held the keys to a new era of power—one that he alone would decide how and when to unleash.

(Switch Pov)
I've known Reggie nearly all my life, before the fame that is. We grew up together, hanged out together until we went our separate ways when he went to college.
But even when he went and became popular we kept in touch, seeing him become a hero was something that I'm not only proud of.
Heck he fulfilled our wish, turns out he was one of the gifted ones. I wasn't even angry that he hid his abilities instead I was glad he did so, otherwise my younger self would have blabbed it out for clout.
Even if we kept in contact on rare occasions, I still kept my eyes on him from afar, so imagine my surprise that he, Reginald Franklin, my childhood friend would be the cause of my current paralyzed state.
Oh I suppose most must be wandering who the heck is talking well my name is Tyrone Anderson Higgins, yeah yeah I get it. It's a stereotypical black name but it's mine deal with it. But back to my point I Know my dude, and ain't no way he's done none of that.
But who's going to believe me? My wife Alyssa left me, taking my baby boy from me. And I have no one left, just sitting in my wheelchair with empty beer bottles and one I had on hand drinking from it.
Before I saw the News causing me to spit take, that motherfucker did a blackface. But more than that he made me like this, oh the pleasure and cries of relief when I saw that Riftshade fellow gave that guy quenched some of the resentment I had on him. That is not enough though I want to personally break him, break that blonde bitch Stillwell too.
A ringing phone caught my attention as I rose my phone and I saw Reggie, wheeling myself to a corner in case someone was listening I answered
"Bitch where was you huh?—Oh no no no, you don't get to talk hoe!!! What was you doing huh? Too busy blowing Charlotte back out?! What's your excuse Reg?!?!"
Anger pouring off of me as I even interrupted him laying all my accumulating pain on him, "—Look I don't give a shit, come pick me up and let's talk aight? Them popo has been acting suspiciously around the neighborhood man."
Finishing our talk I hear the knock on the door, I put the phone on lock and with a smile I raised the cross in my chest as I clenched it in my fist.
"Whatever happens Oh Heavenly Father, may it be by your will. Please forgive me for my sins oh Jesus, my Lord and Savior. I commit myself within your hands. In your mighty name I pray, Amen" I said my prayer with my eyes closed before opening my eyes courageous spirit filling me, wheeling myself towards the knocking sound with me opening the door.
I saw two women one blonde and the other a brunette as well as average looking man who were surprised at my appearance. "Yes? How can I help you?"
