Chapter 1: Chapter 1 – The Airport Terminal

Kichi's POV

Looking down at the view of the Tokyo Metropolitan Area, I was looking forward to land at Tokyo's Haneda Airport. It's been hours since I left Vietnam, the place where I finished my junior high school education, by plane.

As I kept on looking at the view, I began to think about my life as a Japanese living abroad. It's been more than 10 years ever since mom took me away to the Philippines, the place of her parents' heritage, for a new life, and now, I'm back, this time, for my senior high school education.

Prior to my departure from Vietnam and after my graduation from junior high, I received a letter from a mysterious organization offering me to study at their school with a guarantee that I don't have to pay for tuition and boarding. Intrigued but skeptical by it, I decided to check it out by actually go there in Japan, which was across Asia. So, I packed my bags and left Vietnam by plane. Even though I am too young to travel alone, I had a permit that allows me to do that, as well as a weapons license for my Kali sticks, which I am an expert of.

My name is Kichi Vista-Sasaki, and I am a Japanese boy living in the Philippines. The story of why am I living in that country is…not good.

In terms of appearance, I had light grey hair and black eyes. My mother got married to a local who is a former soldier and now a hotel staff member at one of the hotels in Boracay Island. In addition to that, I have two stepsiblings and one half-sibling, and their names are Nathaniel, Rosa, and Timoteo. We get along a lot, especially in our hobbies of planting flowers in the garden and playing games in our phones. My grandparents used to live with us, but they passed away 7 years after my mother's second marriage.

But, there's one thing that I have ever since I was born, and that thing is a supernatural ability known as Danger Sensation. It's an ability in which a user can foresee any danger a kilometer away and that can last for only 3 seconds. It's an ability that allows me to save people from danger. Where it came from is unknown, and I want to find out.

Then, at 11:40 a.m., the plane had landed at Tokyo Haneda Airport with a good touchdown. I felt the plane shook as its landing gears touched the tarmac below. Shortly after that, the plane went to one of the big terminals and parked itself, before a jetway attached itself to one of the main doors.

Once the seatbelt signs are off, I unfastened my seatbelt, grabbed my shoulder bag, and stand up, before going to the aisle to open the overhead bins in order to get my backpack. After that, I get off the plane and walk to the terminal via the jetway.

In the terminal building, I passed through security and immigration without any problem, and headed straight to the baggage hall to claim my luggage, which was a grey roller bag. There I waited for my suitcase to arrive. After a little bit of waiting, my roller bag arrived and I picked it up, extended its holder, and left the baggage hall with it, alongside my shoulder bag and backpack.

Later, as I traversed through the first floor of the Arrival part of the terminal, I hummed happily and blissfully until, I saw a boy, with black hair and bright red eyes, looking at me seriously while holding a leather briefcase. I became suspicious at him, so as he.

Our stare lasted for a few seconds, before that boy cut the eye contact and left. I then shrugged it off and continue my trek through the building. Then, I sensed danger from that boy, almost like a vision, so I left my shoulder bag and other luggage and went to the nearest fire alarm switch in preparation for a foreseen chaos.
