Ethan descended the stone staircase, the faint echoes of a conversation between Anna, the revered priestess of Quin, and Gabi reverberating through the dimly lit passageway. His heart pounded in his chest as he stealthily positioned himself behind a sturdy wall, concealing his presence from the unsuspecting pair. 

With bated breath, Ethan's eyes widened in horror as Gabi callously thrust a gleaming knife into Anna's defenseless body. 

The metallic clash of the blade against flesh pierced the air, sending shivers down his spine. Time seemed to freeze as Anna's form crumpled to the cold ground, crimson rivulets staining the ancient stones beneath her.

As Gabi hurriedly retreated from the scene, Ethan's gaze gave way to determination. Pushing aside his thoughts, he cautiously stepped forward, his hands reaching for the bandage he had hastily plucked from a nearby shelf.
