Chapter 143: Ice bird?

The water began to bubble, and the steam got thicker as the temperature increased. Li Jun's entire body looked red, burned by the scalding water. He was immune to fire, but boiling water was something that his body wasn't prepared to deal with.

He tried to cultivate and let his body grow cold within his relaxed mind, but he couldn't relax; the pain of the boiling water was too much for him to bear. It made him shiver as he felt lightheaded. He wasn't sure if he could stay conscious if it continued for much longer.

He kept his cries of pain down to a muffled yelp each time it circled his body in unbearable waves. 

"Not much longer now. But you should really rotate your spiritual core. It will help absorb the medicine faster." Master Cao instructed from the water's edge.
