Christopher got into the car, silent and gloomy. As his car sped through the streets, his mind kept rewinding his meeting with the landowner. He could clearly tell how hesitant and uneasy the man was. He was sure it was Abigail who had threatened and forced that man to surrender to the police.

He was probably scared that Abigail would hurt his family if he took her name. That's why he was hesitant to say the name.

Christopher's knuckles were white as he grasped the steering wheel tightly. The anger that simmered within him threatened to boil over, and his heart pounded with a mix of frustration and hurt. He was furious to think that Abigail was acting just like her father and sister.

Threatening, bribing, and killing someone were so easy for them. Christopher couldn't comprehend how Abigail could resort to such ruthless tactics, just like her father and sister had done.

Was she following in her footsteps? Was she going to slaughter people to get her way?
