"Hold on, sugar. We will reach the hospital at any time." Christopher's hands holding hers were shaking, but he tried to be confident and comfort Abigail.

"Christopher, tell the driver to drive faster," Abigail pleaded, her voice strained with pain. "I feel like the baby is going to come out right now. Oh, God, this pain- it's unbearable."

"Try to relax, sweetheart," Christopher urged, his touch gentle as he wiped the sweat from her brow. "Just breathe. We're almost there."
