Chapter 63: She Was Really Beautiful

After a day of work, Bruce wanted to send Maisy home. Thinking of the awkwardness today, she tactfully refused. After Jay arrived at her home, the task of picking up Lucas fell to him. If she bumped into him again, she wouldn't be able to hide it.

"Then take care," Bruce gently reminded her. He didn't pester her too much.

Maisy walked into the elevator and couldn't help but think of the kiss in the morning. Jay probably didn't care anymore, right?

"Mom!" Just as she opened the door, Lucas bumped into her.

"What's wrong?" Maisy smiled. "Why are you so happy today?"

"I got first place on the exam," Lucas said sweetly. "Mom, bring me out to celebrate!"

Maisy was a little confused. "Don't you often get first place? Is today's first place special?"
