The mention of children brought pain to Maisy's heart. It reminded her of being abandoned by her mother and being sold for a mere $100,000 to a hellish place by her father. The thing that she was about to agree to do was no different than what her parents had done to her.

However, she comforted herself with a single difference that she had found. The man she was about to enter a contract with was extremely rich. Even if her children were to leave her in the end, they would still be able to live a good life. There was even a good chance that Jay would marry a lady with a good attitude and education. Children who grew up in such a good environment would become like their father, well-educated and successful, unlike her who had to struggle in the poorest part of the society.
