Chapter 15: Mocked by the Assistant

When Maisy woke up the next day, the space on the bed next to her was empty as usual.

She put her clothes on her sore body and tried to massage her waist to make herself feel better. It was already past breakfast time, and she was famished.

Her breakfast was still on the dining table. She heated it up with the microwave. With a loud ding, she opened the microwave door, and steam came out of it.

As she ate her hot meal. She couldn't help but smile at the thought that she would attend a party with Jay later that day.

Maisy had lived in the lower class for all her life and had no idea what the party of the higher class was like. She pictured that it would be very elegant, and people would cheer each other with glasses of wine or champagne. If she was there, she would be nothing more than a decoration for Jay.

Maisy bit her lips as she again realized that Jay and she were people from two different worlds.
