Chapter 81: Lucas Disappears

The next morning, Maisy woke up early. She touched her side and found that Jay was gone. She was confused. Was he going to pack up so early? She got up to see where Jay had gone. Just as she opened the door, she heard Jay's voice.

"Then can't I work remotely?" Jay frowned and his voice was very cold. She didn't know what was said on the other end of the phone, but he hung up the phone.

"What's wrong?" Maisy asked curiously when she saw him hang up the phone.

Jay didn't look very happy right now. "I might have to stay in the capital for a few days first," Jay said in frustration. He really didn't want to leave Maisy.

"It's okay." Although she felt a little regretful, Maisy knew that she shouldn't interfere with work matters.

"I will go back soon after I finish dealing with these matters." Jay walked forward and hugged Maisy.

"Okay." Maisy patted his back. "I will wait for you at home. I will go with Lucas."
