Chapter 25: Kiss Me Until I'm Pleased

Maisy lay on the couch and curled up into a ball. As she pressed her hand against her abdomen, it was then the first twinge of pain hit her, and her forehead was now beaded with droplets of sweat clinging onto her skin.

Only did Jay realize that she needed medical attention. Deviating from his usual calm character and nature, he revealed a grave and anxious expression on his face. He pulled out his phone and dialed Dr. Stevens's number, requesting his presence immediately.

Jay was one of the biggest clients of Dr. Stevens, so there was no room for slacking off. He arrived at Jay's residence in the shortest time possible.

The instant Dr. Stevens saw Maisy coiled up on the couch in pain, his alarm rang through him as if a bell had rung in his head. Jay hired him because of his skills and competence, and the first thing he did was calm her down before performing a series of physical examinations to assess her condition.
