Chapter 5: I will Take Her with Me

Having lived for more than 20 years, this was Jay's first time encountering such a situation that had rendered him speechless. Despite there being half a dozen guards, none of them managed to pull Maisy away from Jay.

After half a minute, Jay suddenly laughed. "Stop it. I'll take her."

For a second, the rest of the guards froze as if they were turned into stones. Maisy had the same reaction as well. She raised her head to look at the man in utter shock, but all she could see was his chiseled jaw. She could not read what the man was thinking or what his expression was like. However, she did know that at least, for the moment, she was safe.

"I don't need to teach you guys what to tell Jordan, right?" Jay coldly asked.

Jordan Smith was the boss of the Aphrodite Club. All the guards had to do was tell their boss that the esteemed Mr. Ceasar had mentioned that he wanted Maisy, not just for the night but her whole person, and Jordan would've understood.
