Chapter 8: A Good Girl

Jay was about to fall asleep. Unlike his usual dressed-up appearances when he headed out, he wore an oversized shirt. His hair was slightly messy after taking a shower. He looked much younger than he usually did, almost as if he was a university student like Maisy. However, she knew that there was a huge difference in their social statuses.

"Mr. Hamilton," Maisy unintentionally said in a respectful manner. "I think... I'm ready."

Jay was not wearing his glasses and had to scrunch up his eyes a little to look at the young lady. It made his cold expression look even more dangerous. "And what made you decide that you're ready?"

Maisy's expression turned depressed almost instantly. She lowered her head and explained her grandfather's situation to the man.
