I stepped down from the car and stared at the restaurant, where Rose had decided to suddenly book. What exactly she wanted from me, I didn't know. But I'd made sure to come with Harley.
Rose was someone I didn't trust one bit and whatever it was she had to say, she would do it in both our presence.
Harley walked over to my side, lifting her eyes to stare at the restaurant. "Shall we?" she asked.
I looked at her, pulled a soft smile and interlocked my fingers with her. We walked into the building, looking around on the first floor, but she was nowhere to be seen. Suddenly my phone rang and I looked at the screen to see her caller ID, an unknown new number that I had suddenly had to save.
"What?"
"Come up to the second floor, sweetheart, you'll find me there."
