I didn't answer my brother, I just simply averted my gaze because I had nothing to say. Harlow squeezed my hand tighter. "He hasn't changed with you, has he?" 

"Would he ever?" I chuckled pitifully at myself. "Somehow, he likes you enough, but not me. Maybe I did something wrong to him that I may not remember. Maybe—"  

"Harley." Harlow shook his head at me. "There is nothing you did wrong. Don't drag yourself into that hellish thinking." 

I peered at him.  

"And...I am sorry," he added.  

I asked, "For what?"  

"I know I should own my shit. We are twins after all. If one of us decides to jump off a fucking bridge, the other follows, no questions, I know that. I never should have left that day on that mission without telling you. It was urgent for Dad, but it was also dangerous, and I didn't want to involve you in something so risky. We are twins, yes, but I am still two minutes older than you, so…"
