Chapter 46: HARLEY: He’s My Friend

I had only just walked in through our bedroom door, ready to fight my way out of this, but a hand darted out and dragged me inside, slamming the door shut hard enough to rattle the floor-length window that was covered by the cream-colored curtains. 

Sylus slammed me up against the wall, fisting a hand at the back of my hair and slanting his mouth over mine. No…no, I refused to engage with widened eyes, no matter how warm his skin was, how soft his lips were, or how fucking good he kissed me.  

"What the fuck did you think you were doing, sneaking out?" he whispered against my ears, trying to kiss my unyielding lips once more. "I've been playing so nice for you, putting up with your craziness and antics, ignoring the fact you keep testing my patience over and over again. What is it? You want to see the real me, Harley? Is that what you want?" 

Oh, fuck him.
