To all of their surprise, she drew the last lot.

If they drew the last lot, this meant that the judges have already seen all the performances. That meant that they'd have seen all the other orchestras.

And as soon as they had reached the last performance, the judges would've already been exhausted by then. No matter how good their performance was, it wouldn't be able to grasp their attention.

Yao Tang stepped out off the stage, without even glancing over at Cheng Yan.

As soon as she reached her seat, she patted the girl beside her. "Maybe you'd have better luck believing in science."
