The second class in the afternoon was English, but since the English teacher for Class F had called in sick today, the class was taught by Yang Lan, the homeroom and English teacher of Class A.

It was unclear whether it was intentional just to spite Lan Jin, but knowing full well that she was an academic slacker, Yang Lan insisted on calling her up to the blackboard to dictate words. Resultingly, Lan Jin didn't get a single word correct.

Yang Lan gave her a glance, her face full of scorn and disdain, thinking to herself with relief that it was fortunate Lan Jin hadn't been assigned to her class; otherwise, she would have spoiled the whole batch with her presence.

"You can't even write such simple words. As a punishment, you're to stand at your seat until class is over."

Yang Lan said sternly, then scoffed lightly, "I don't even know how such people manage to get in here."
