Chapter 1: The day we met

My name is Sofia Brown and my 21 birthday is in 4 months. According to my father, I have to be married to Ean Holt by my 22 birthday. So I guess it's time to talk to him, I haven't seen nor talked to him since I found out we were betrothed. That Monday morning I woke up disappointed in myself for everything in my closet. I never really thought about how I looked that is until I found a butler that was determined to dress me in only the finest. His first day was today and when he got here and saw what I was wearing and demanded that I change. I was wearing a very nice floral blouse and a pair of sleek black jeans, but he claimed that I would simply boil in the hot July sun. I have to admit when I first saw him I was taken aback. His hair is dark and he has piercing blue eyes surrounded by lushes lashes and he's tall and his skin is tanned. Standing beside each other you might think that we were yin and yang. When he redressed me I still had the blouse on but now I had on a pair of denim shorts and my wavy hair was down slightly brushing my shoulders. When he looked at me I got this weird tingly feeling in my throat and I could not speak. So I nodded and sped towards the car waiting in the driveway. When I got in I told the driver where we were to go and he drove us to Eans house. I guess you could tell how nervous I was because when my butler trued to reintroduce himself I had no idea he was talking until he repeated himself " Madam Sofia let me introduce myself I am Derick Gill I will be your butler until the weeding when you no longer require my services. " he announced without making eye contact. We pulled up and when I got up to the door and knocked I was so shocked at what stood before me that I almost fainted. "Ean I-er" I had no words for what I saw.
