Our last prom, along with a promise

Tonight was prom. This marked our last high school dance as seniors. Plus, our school was going crazy with promposals. I never understood it. Ask the girl. That’s what Andrew did, well after I pouted, waiting for him to ask me.

In his words, stop being a big baby. I was taking you, anyway. Sometimes, my boyfriend can be a dink.

Dad agreed with Andrew and earned a smack from my mom. That was funny.

Everyone else was going, too. Someone had something extraordinary planned for the night. That would cause someone else to get pissed off. There’s nothing new there with our group.

As I finished getting ready, with Mom’s help, Dad came to the door.

/"You look beautiful, Bella./" He smiled.

/"I feel beautiful./" I smiled back.

Then the doorbell rang.

/"Come on. You don’t want to keep Andy Pandy waiting since you pouted about getting asked./" He smirked.
