We got home, and Cody blew up my phone with messages. I finally blocked his number. He's a liar, and I refused to believe his lies.

I stayed in my room, nursing my broken heart. Well, that's after I trashed it. My parents tried to help me, but I pushed them away. They called in reinforcements, which was Papa. He showed up and saw the mess.

/"I'm going to take a guess and say you're upset,/" Papa said. /"When your mom got her heart broke, I had to listen to this lame-ass music until I kicked her out of the house./"

/"I refuse to listen to lame-ass music./" I shrugged.

/"So, you trashed your room. I'm not sure it’s a smart move to break your stuff./" Papa rubbed his jaw.

/"It doesn't matter. Love sucks, and Cody is a freaking liar./"

/"Ah, now we're getting somewhere. Did Cody lie to you, or did you assume?/"
