~Jay POV.~
Looking over my shoulder one last time at her I slide the double doors open and step inside, the music gets louder as I make my way in.
The strobe lights around the living room makes my head spin more than it is already, heading towards the kitchen I dodge the dancing bodies.
I try to make my way through as fast as I can but the people bumping into me left and right make me feel suffocated.
Finally have entered the kitchen I lock eyes onto the cups and assortments of alcohol, I know I said I was going to get her a drink but I don't think she should have any more.
Grabbing a cup I pour more vodka than coke this time, turning around I lean against the counter and scan my eyes across the room.
Bringing the cup to my lips i drink most of it, my eyes stop scanning the room as someone enters the kitchen.
'Why does he always have to show up when he's not wanted?'
Mentally rolling my eyes I give him a once over, sizing him up because of what she said, I recognize him by his grey hoodie from earlier.
He's squatting down on the floor, bringing a container of something up to his lips he glances over to me.
Scoffing quietly to himself he turns his head to look at me fully, setting my now empty cup down I lean back more.
Looking him in the eyes my blood begins to boil at the nerve of him right now, just looking at him makes me pissed off.
"Can I help you with something dude?"
Raising an eyebrow he questions me, standing up he crosses his arms over his chest still looking at me.
'Help me? This kids joking right'
Snickering I turn to look away from him, filling my cup up once again, taking a sip of the alcohol it runs smoothly down my throat.
"I mean if you're gonna stare at me then at least tell me what I can help you with."
I can feel him closer now, his voice comes out deeper so I know he move towards me.
Setting my cup down I turn towards him, he's about the same size as me, taller than him by about a foot I walk closer to him.
"Just a tip... stay away from her, I don't know who you are but don't even think about trying to talk to her let alone try to be friends... like she said, you're a nobody."
Getting close to him I quietly say the last words, brushing his shoulder I take a step past him, stopping as he go to talk.
"Ahh you mean.. Twinkle Toes-...
My throat tightens at his words, who does he think he is?
"-.. if you don't think we're close then you can just watch what's about to happen, and-..
-.. I don't have to try to be friends with her, I already am."
Knocking my shoulder from behind he walks towards the living room, shooting me a smirk from over his shoulder.
Coming up behind a girl I watch him tap her shoulder, clenching my fists she turns around, my eyes lock onto her face.
My hands sweat when she smiles at him, gripping his hand as she says something to him, her lips move fast.
Taking her hand he spins her, landing with her back facing him they start to dance on each other, slowly my vision goes red as I lose my fucking mind.
Moving forward I push past people to get to them.

~My Pov ~
Swimming around the pool I start to get bored, he said he will be back quickly but it's been like 10 minutes already.
Yeah I know 10 minutes isn't that long but I'm inpatient, swimming to the side of the pool I pull myself out.
Walking over to my chair from earlier I grab the towel and spare clothes, drying off quickly I throw the clothes on over my now slightly damp swim suit.
Fluffing out my wet hair it comes out frizzy and damp, not going to get any better than this I throw the towel onto the chair.
Walking to the door I go inside, the music is a lot louder than last time, the beat makes me instantly want to dance.
Forgetting Jay for a moment my dance side takes over as I walk to the living room, the furniture is all pushed to the side making a very large dance floor.
The strobe lights set the mood, my competitive side comes out as I push my way to the middle of the floor.
Most people move out of the way as I reach the middle, getting into my zone my feet start to move on their own.
Closing my eyes I start to smile as the beats get louder, feeling a slight tap on my shoulder I turn to look at the person.
'AYEEE NICK!'
The alcohol slowly starts to make my head spin a bit, smiling to him he smirks at me.
"So Twinkle toes.. let's see what my new partners made of shall we?"
Laughing over the music I turn fully towards him, all my attention is on him and him only, if he wants a competition I will gladly accept.
"Bring it on... Princess"
Speaking fast I watch his reaction, if he's gonna call me that disgusting name then it's only fair to give him one just as bad.
Laughing at my little name his eyes crinkle at the corners, his hand comes out infront of me, quickly I take it, ignoring the shock that it gave me.
He spins me around quickly like a ballerina, with my back to him we begin to dance, people move to make more space for us as we continue to dance.
Pressed against him we move to the music, I can feel his heart beat, matching the music almost exactly, closing my eyes I listen to it with a smile on my face.
Spinning me out and away from him he runs forward, swinging my leg up at the exact moment he swiftly slide under me.
Standing up he faces me, stalking over to me with a smile on his face, his moves are just as sharp as mine.
'He's not that bad after all... maybe just maybe, these two dancer won't have a problem becoming one soon'
Coming around me he presses my back against his chest tightly, dancing together slowly starts to make us laugh as the people around us clap at our moves, edging us on.
Our movements suddenly get interrupted as a hand grabs my arm from the side, pulling me away from Nick I stumble into Jay.
Shock and confusion litters my face as I stare at his redden cheeks, throwing Nick a dark look he chuckles.
"I don't know why you're dancing with a nobody with no skill, why waste your time."
Anger soon rises as I listen to him, his hand is held tightly onto my wrist, thinking he's had too much to drink I go to pull away from him.
His grip on me tightens, almost painfully, letting out a gasp at the force of his grip Nick steps forward.
"Hey man I think you shou-..
Cutting him off Jay laughs
"I think you've intervened enough."
Pulling harder on my arm now I know that when Jay becomes tipsy and clearly drunk that his emotions can get the best of him.
"Jay please.. you're starting to hurt-..
Looking towards me he laughs, rolling his eyes at me.
"Oh so now you're taking his-...
Cutting him off I yell at him
"LET GO JAY!"
My eyes start to water from how tight his grip has gotten, ripping my arm away from him I step towards Nick, he goes slightly infront of me.
Looking at jays face his eyes start to glisten as he looks down at his hands, taking a couple deep breaths he looks back up at me.
"I think-.. I think maybe you should go and get some air."
"But-..
"-Jay go get some air"
He closes his mouth, running his hands through his hair roughly he swiftly turns around and heads to the back yard.
Nick turns around to face me, looking at me in the eyes his hand goes to my wrist, grabbing it gently he lifts it up.
Pulling away from him I walk towards the front door, opening it I hear him follow me from behind.
Stepping out i walk to the sidewalk, Nick's footsteps quicken to catch up to me.
"Where are you going?"
Walking by my side I look over at him, telling him that I'm heading home it quiets after that.
Walking side by side the night air nips at my face and legs, it's not cold just a bit windy.
Turning towards Nick I start to wonder why he's still following me.
"I'm walking you home don't worry, my house is this way, I'm gonna head home too. That party was lame anyways."
His face remains looking forward as he talks, never once glancing at me, smiling to myself I turn my head.
The night sky is completely dark now, it's still a bit early as it's only 9, coming closer to my house we pass my mailbox.
Making my way up to the door Nick follows me quietly, unlocking the door I turn around to face him.
Smiling I tell him thank you, giving me a small smile back he turns around, hands in his pockets he goes down my drive way, turning right he passes my view.
Slowly I walk away from the door, peaking around my house I watch him go up the steps to the house next door, taking out a key from his pocket he unlocks and opens the door.
Going inside he softly shuts the door, a bit shocked I turn around, opening the front door I step inside locking it from behind me I lean against the door.
Shaking my head I continue to go up to my room.
'Hello new neighbor'
