The first encounter
Holding her bag close to her chest, Sun mi wandered around the bustling market. She looked at each shop with the same pair of gleaming innocent eyes.Growing up as an orphan and the only daughter of the family who had medical expertise she turned out to be a very ambitious,free and a respectful young lady. In the royal family, the king had 2 wives and 7 sons. The eldest of them all, the 1st Prince, Prince Seokjin, son to Queen Yoo was already married off for the sake of strengthening the kingdom. Though all the 7 sons lived in harmony, the queen's plotted schemes to make one of their sons the next king. Queen Yoo and Queen Sook both had prepared all of their sons in every possible way to win the throne.
Sun mi made her way to the royal palace where she was now supposed to work as a doctor. The 4th prince was diagnosed by an illness which required constant attention and care. She was recommended as his caretaker by the in laws of the Yoon family, who had close relations with Sun mi's parents before their death.
She entered the palace and was intimidated by the magnanimous architecture and the riches the royal family possessed.
Lost in her own thoughts she kept walking until she bumped into the queen. Sun mi apologized to the queen. The court lady by the queen's side immediately grabbed Sun mi by her wrist and took her away."You are not supposed to roam around in this palace aimlessly" the court lady yelled at Sun mi. Sun mi mumbled a quick sorry and struggled to take off her hand from the lady's grip. "You must be the new doctor appointed for the 4th prince. Follow me,Lady Oh has asked for you " the lady said jerking off sun mi's hand. The lady showed her the way to a room. Sun mi knocked on the door and entered the room. "I am Sun mi. I have been appointed as the new doctor for the 2nd prince" sun mi spoke hesitantly as she bowed. Lady Oh hummed in response. "Take her to the newly prepared room and take her to meet the 2nd prince" Lady Oh ordered the court lady."You should immediately start with the prince's treatment" Lady Oh suggested her. Sun mi bowed and left the room. She followed the court lady to the 4th prince's room.
The 4th prince, Prince Taehyung was a very handsome man, it was an unfortunate fact that he was ill. He was wearing a dark purple gown which perfectly made his fair complexion stand out, his hair tied up which moved elegantly as he turned around. The court lady briefed the prince about Sun mi as the new doctor and left the room. Sun mi bowed and greeted him. Prince Taehyung was kind enough to accept her greeting and told her to take a seat. He elaborated about the symptoms he experienced for better understanding of the illness. Sun mi took note of all that the prince was saying. After Sun mi had asked her questions she took her leave. It was evening until Sun mi finished setting up her room. She decided to get to know about the place. She was taking a stroll around the lake in the evening, when she saw a young man, around her age, dressed in a black dirty robe , talking to a tree. Sun mi couldn't help giggle slightly, loud enough for the 7th prince to notice. The 7th prince, the youngest of all, Prince Jungkook scratched his neck in embarrassment. He took large strides towards Sun mi and kept walking until their faces were inches apart. Sun mi's heartbeat raced like never before. This was something she had never experienced in her life. She brushed off the feeling and took a step back to greet the young man. Little did she know that he was the youngest prince, who was the most famous among women all over the kingdom. "I haven't seen you in the palace before!" the young prince exclaimed "You must be one of the helpers", he said with an annoying smirk on his face. "No! I am not a helper here and as a matter of fact I have been appointed as the d-" , " Sun mi, come here immediately!" she was interrupted by a harsh voice of Lady Oh. Sun mi glared at the prince and walked away following the orders she had been given. The prince laughed at her behaviour. " She must be new here" he said shaking his head with a smile on his face.
