Chapter 149: "An Hour in the Great Father's Sanctuary"

Hearing directly from the Goddess that she did not belong to their world hit Ely differently. It was not the first time she heard about it, though. Years ago, the Goddess' priestesses had said the same thing. Although she strived to fight against her said destiny, she failed to do so, because Priestess Ruby used strong magic to bring her back to her world.

But the current situation was totally different. She was now facing the 'boss' of the priestesses. Perhaps she could negotiate with her?

"Madame," Ely said, still kneeling as she looked up to her, "You do know, I am the mother of Ezekiel… Can't you at least consider the fact that if it wasn't for my reckless acts in the past, you would not have a brave hero like my son?"

"I know, but your future destiny is in your world, Elizabeth. When the Great Father made the worlds in the universe, he assigned a powerful God to oversee each world. Do you know what that means?"

She shook her head.
