Chapter 11: Dinner Invitation

Saturday, and still a busy day in the Coffee Shop. Chelsca was occupied with all the orders as John and Sheenah were on a day off. She was shocked by her next customer.

"Akane? What are you doing here?" she quickly lowers her voice, preventing somebody would hear. "Are you alone?"

"Nope, I was with mom and dad!"

Not that long, Chelsca now saw Akane's parents entering the café. They smiled, but they knew she acted like a stranger.

Akane made the order, and Anthony replaced her for a while. He knew who they were, and he understood that she wanted to talk with them.

"Go and have your break now."

"Thank you, Anthony!" she whispered while her eyes sparkled.

She quickly makes their orders and serves them by herself to be able to talk with them.

"Here are your orders, ma'am and sir!"

"Thank you, sister Chelsca!"

"How are you, Chelsca?"

"Am fine, aunt Riley," her response to her mom's best friend, Riley Isagawa.

"Are you sure?" the middle-aged man studied her face. So like him, he is a noisy man but one of the best fathers she ever knew.

She smiled and then responded to the man, "Don't worry, uncle Daichi, everything is going smooth in my studies."

"We're not talking about that, Chelsea."

Riley's gazes are like measuring her emotions; argh, this couple is... She is having a cold sweat like she was in the middle of the trial.

"Tell us if you are having a problem and are pressured. We heard that your aunt Claire is preparing your engagement with Albert."

She knew it already! Nothing will pass from them.

"Don't worry, aunt Riley, uncle Daichi. I was aware of how aunt Claire wanted me to marry her son so that our wealth would stay within the family. Although, I don't understand." she sighed.

"Okay, let's have dinner tonight, you and Nadia. How is she, by the way?" Daichi asked her.

Nadia is his niece, the daughter of his youngest sister.

Chelsca kept silent before she answered. "Uhm. . . For now, she is fine."

"Something happens?" Riley senses that something is not correct.

"They broke up with her boyfriend. She found him cheating, so she alone confronted him." she honestly told them.

"Tell me, who's that guy?"

"Oh, don't worry, uncle Daichi! Nadia already kicks his balls; he won't be able to use it for a while!"

Akane giggles, just listening to their conversation. She is fifteen years old, her older brother is twenty-three, and her older sister is twenty.

"Shush!" Her father gives her that kind of look, 'you are still a baby!'... He is such an overprotective dad, of course.

"I'll tell Nadia later, uncle Daichi. I have a class later."

"Okay, Akane already messages you our hotel, right?"

"Yes, aunt Riley. Thank you," she answered.

"Alright. We're living now for our lunch meeting. See you both later."

"Okay, uncle Daichi."

The Isagawa Family is now leaving the shop, and she began cleaning the table. Her eyes caught someone she guessed never left her since she started talking with the Isagawa Family.

It was Lewey Collins. Her heart is slightly beating nervously. Could he recognize aunt Riley? She may wear sunglasses, but it could be possible that Lewey could recognize her.

They visited the De La Rue family 11 years ago in Italy. Although it was a long time ago, she never forgets him. . .
