Chapter 42: Chapter 42: Our First Real Job

After making sure that he got everyone’s attention, Vic started to brief the Lost Warriors on the task.

“Alright guys, here’s our task. A family of wild boars have been terrorizing the village of Waper and stampeding all over their crops, and the local farmers have enlisted our help to cull them.

“These villagers aren’t skilled in fighting and have no means to get rid of the wild boars. In return for helping them, we’ll get a few baskets full of fruits, vegetables, and meat.”

“Aye, aye!” Rani, Lee, and Lei chimed in unison while Ty nodded enthusiastically.

Ashur was waiting for Vic to continue when he realized that the other wandering warriors were all staring at him.

“Aye, aye!” He echoed belatedly. This must be their ritual of some sort.

Vic carried on, “This will be a relatively simple mission, so only Ashur, Lee, and I will need to be involved.”

“Aww, what!” Rani and Lei simultaneously protested while Ty knitted his eyebrows. They didn’t like being left out.
