Chapter 20: A Promotion

The next morning, Astraea called Ashur over to her quarters.

“Good morning, Ashur,” Astraea said to Ashur as he walked in. “Sit down, I have something to talk to you about.”

“Mistress Astraea, am I in trouble?” Ashur said anxiously. He was worried that he was in trouble for fighting with the other servants and that Astraea was going to reprimand him.

“No, Ashur, you’re not in any trouble.” Astraea shook her head and assured him. “I just wanted to check how your training has been.”

“Uh...it has been going well, I think?” Ashur said rather humbly, “I have been practicing every day, and training with Leander once a week. Just the other day, I managed to generate some sparks using the Lightning Technique.”
