Chapter 40: Prologue (Volume 3) ─ The world begins to spin

In this world, there are four great continents.

The first of them is the continent inhabited by the demon race, where the demon king resides, known as Ishgal.

The second continent is Belland, which consists of a vast desert.

The third is Abelion, where cultures and undiscovered races thrive.

The fourth and final continent is Rothstein, home to different races such as humans, elves, and beastmen.

Each continent was discovered by an explorer linked to the same familial lineage: the imperial family of the Alzer Empire, also known as the Sacred Magic Empire of Alzer.

This nation stands as the most advanced in the world, having achieved technological advancements surpassing all others. It was founded by men who sacrificed their bodies for their nation.

In one of the halls of the imperial palace, an important meeting was taking place. All of this was witnessed by a newly arrived maid named Carla, whose stomach churned from being present.

The hall where she found herself was known as the chamber of meetings, where the mage emperor, the highest authority in the country, conversed with the most important ministers, court mages, sword saints, and grand nobles.

The Five Great Nobles shared blood ties with the imperial family, whether they were dukes or marquises, all bearing a second name that indicated their royal connection.

In this country, second names marked one's rank and social position, from knights to marquises; everyone except commoners was required to have one.

Carla understood she didn't belong here; she was a mere servant who had secured her job thanks to her elder sister. The pressure in the air made her dizzy.

"As I said, our borders inform us that the demon race is nearing our shores."

"We must reinforce the coasts; many of us have territories there."

"If we do so, neighboring countries might believe we plan to invade them, delaying the arms sales we conduct due to alleged fear of an invasion."

"That is not the important matter now. We must discuss the information obtained about that Mage God known as Alzel."

"He must be some braggart who dared to use our country's name as his own."

"By the mere fact of doing so, he deserves to have his family and homeland burned."

"We must find out who he is and punish him so this does not happen again."

Carla did not want to be in this place filled with perverse conversations and elderly individuals discussing invading countries as if it were the most normal thing in the world.

◇◇◇

Meanwhile, to the north of the Alzer Empire, there existed a country known as the Kingdom of Rosenthal. Not as advanced as the empire, but distinguished in the use of magic stones.

In one of the rooms of the castle, King Noah Noel Rosenthal, middle-aged with blond hair and blue eyes, conversed with his loyal friend, Duke Dominique Noel Realight, whose appearance was similar except for his purple eyes.

"How do you think the situation stands, Noah?"

"For now, it seems nothing serious is afoot, but the Alzer Empire has shown much ire at their declarations."

"The Walt Empire, eh? It is curious that a country that recently called itself the Dominance Kingdom has opted to call itself an empire."

"Their lands are not even extensive; truly ridiculous how that so-called Supreme King thinks."

"Never mind that, Dominique. What matters is they are treading on the empire's tail."

"Due to our geographical zone, if war breaks out, they would use our country as an intermediary to attack without harming their own lands."

"And as if that were not horrible enough, the Principality of Rosenheid has said it will send one of its queens to establish friendly relations."

"Queens, you say?" The duke queried in surprise.

"The principality has not one queen, but two. Both princesses recently inherited the throne," explained the king, sighing at the headache each piece of news brought him.

"I cannot bear this. It is truly irritating that so many problems are occurring in a single month," he lamented.

Dominique recalled something when those names were mentioned.

"I almost forgot, the appointment to save your daughter will not be soon."

"Oh, that's right. I had forgotten."

"It is annoying that there are some, among them you know who, who oppose granting a reward."

"I can imagine," concluded Noah.

The problems for the kingdom were only beginning.

◇◇◇

But this was not the only event occurring.

To the northwest of the kingdom lay a great power and religious nation known as the Endymion Theocracy, called the cradle of humanity. In this nation, the Six Great Gods who created the elements and the world were worshipped, while semi-humans, credited by the creation gods with dark magic, were despised.

Not only did they worship these Six Great Gods, but they also revered Four Great Gods who symbolized agriculture, livestock, trade, and education, although these latter gods were somewhat overshadowed.

A girl named Marceline ran through the wide, white halls of the Basilica of the Gods. She was sweaty and tired, but it didn't matter to her. She reached one of the eleven most important elders of the Endymion Theocracy, the adherents of the Sacred King, who could speak directly with the country's highest authority.

Marceline collapsed to the floor as she called out to the High Pontiff.

"Please wait a moment, Ossias-sama," she pleaded.

The kindly-looking elder named Ossias turned to see who it was and recognized her.

"Oh, you're Marceline-kun. Is something wrong for you to be this tired?" he asked with concern.

She quickly got to her feet and spoke words that alarmed him.

"I apologize for disturbing you, but something serious has happened."

"Something serious? Shouldn't you report that to the Templar Knights?" he suggested.

"I-I did, but it was futile."

"How do you mean futile?" Asked Ossias, surprised.

Marceline urgently explained:

"They were all killed by someone. That mysterious person entered the sacred precinct where His Excellency the Sacred King resides."

The book Ossias held fell to the floor upon hearing this.

"Someone... entered the Sacred King's precinct?"

This event was one of those that marked the world that year.

______________

The fanservice starts with the cute Mary, by the way, the names of girls that come out here were relevant characters for their respective arcs, but it doesn't matter anymore.

With all the eagerness to spoil I will say that both were key to the revolution that would take place in their countries.

Enjoy Mary since you won't be seeing her again, pipipi.

CREATORS' THOUGHTS
Siegburn Siegburn

It's good to see you again, dear readers of this novel.

As I said in the final volume of Black Hero, this novel will also end, unlike that novel where I was just beginning, this novel is just the same.

Since I was just starting the good stuff and I have to finish it.

So enjoy it and more for the ending, as you will realize that it is not coherent what you will see, but because I am moving the ending that would come in volume 25 to volume 3.

Without anything else to say, enjoy it.
