Redmond cursed under his breath when he saw what was going to happen on the podium and Iris was about to turn around and witness the same thing.
He had witnessed his own fair share of violence, but knowing how soft hearted Iris was, he knew this would be too much for her to discern, thus, despite his rambling a few hours ago and how strong and vicious his words were, he still shielded her from witnessing such a nightmare.
Redmond pulled her hand and pressed her face against his chest to hide her from the last sight of Aria. How her body hung in the air and struggled for a while, which felt like forever.
"Damn it… Cane is really heartless," Redmond muttered under his breath.
Currently, they were in an alley, behind all the people who were crying and expressing their grievance for their loss of the mistress. They took pity on her, but because of her crimes, they couldn't really ask for justice from the Alpha.
