Chapter 50: Love, Lust, Loyalty

Damien's POV:

Tristan became very angry when I told him of my feelings for Lyra. She was his woman and I didn't mean for me to have those feelings but I just did and there was nothing I could do.

I have lived alone all these years since my mate passed away. If she was my second chance at love then I was going to embrace it plus she wasn't even Tristan's mate so she didn't practically belong to him.

Tristan rushed towards me and landed a blow, aiming for my head, but my reflex action was faster than his punch and I dodged the blow.

"You don't even love her anyways" I hollered at him. "You just want to keep her close because she reminds you of Laura. Am I right?"

"It's none of your business. She came to me first, so she is my woman" Tristan fired back at me.

"But you do not love her. You are only going to use her and dump her. She deserves to be with someone that loves her and values her."
