Chapter 47: Deception And Desire

Tristan's POV

"I'm sorry Tristan, but I love her" Damien replied to me.

His reply came as a shock to me. I had never expected that my friend would ever betray me like this. Lyra was my woman and no one has the power to steal her away from me.

I rushed towards Damien in anger and landed a blow in his direction. Fortunately for him, his reflex action was fast enough and he dodged the blow.

"You don't even love her anyways" Damien hollered at me. "You just want to keep her close because she reminds you of Laura. Am I right?"

I became more enraged. He had no right to bring up Laura into this. How dare he use that against me.

"It's none of your business. She came to me first, so she is my woman" I fired at him.

"But you do not love her. You are only going to use her and dump her. She deserves to be with someone that loves her and values her."
