Chapter 60: Editing

" What are you doing here, Raphael?"

I could never mistake this face ever. Raphael worked under king Nicolas, loyal to him wholeheartedly. He had been his right handed person for years.

Raphael coldly retorted, eyeing me suspiciously,

" I am here to check on your works. Did you make them believe in you?"

I replied a bit nervously. We were standing in the backyard, isolated from the castle staff.

" Yes! I have already been promoted to be his sex slave. Is there anything else that I need to do?"

I didn't want to be mistrusted by king Nicolas. Although it was my own revenge that mattered to me, a part of me was loyal to King Nicolas. He was the one who treated me well in these past years.

Raphael shook his head, saying 'No' as he clarified further,

" We don't want to be too obvious now. Give yourself time and also, remember that King Nicolas is trusting you on this matter. Don't backstab us."
