Chapter 12: First Date Pt. 2

Aláine's Point of View

The next night, I looked at myself in the mirror from the front and side views.

"Here I go again," I said to Zara, "dressing in clothes that are really out of my comfort zone and showing too much leg and chest." I turned and looked at Zara, "Maybe I should wear my usual jeans and see if that turns him off."

"Don't you dare!" scolded Zara. "Every girl should have a little black dress. You look better in my clothes than I do. Good thing I'm your best friend, or I'd be very jealous of you."

"I love you too, girlfriend," I replied.

This little black dress is too short as far as I am concerned and shows far too much leg.

"I'd never buy fabulous clothes like these," I answered. "Thank you for letting me use your wardrobe... again."

There was a knock on the door, and Axel went wild, barking and jumping. Zara went downstairs and opened the door.

"Your walking candy store is here, Aláine!" she called, laughing.

I could hear Kristof's voice, although I couldn't hear what he said. The timbre of his voice set my body alight. I looked at the mirror once more and started to regret that I'd agreed to have dinner.

After a few deep breaths, I walked out of the bedroom door toward the stairs and toward Kristof. I was a combination of arousal and anxiety all mixed together.

Kristof was standing in the living room, looking up at me, smiling. I didn't think it was fair when men wore suits because a good suit made even a mediocre man look handsome and this man went from handsome to Oh. My. God!

Axel sat at his feet, looking up at him with adoration, and his traitorous tail was wagging. Our eyes locked as I came down the stairs, and I felt the room temperature rise. I wanted to run and hide.

Cinderella had it right, though I think this Prince Charming would probably chase me too. Could be fun, though.

Kristof's Point of View

When I was standing at her door and heard her dog barking, I was glad it didn't sound like a chihuahua. I didn't like small dogs much, so I was rather happy when I saw it was a husky.

"At least she has taste," I muttered to myself.

And when she came walking down the stairs, I wanted her so much. I could feel my wolf and Lycan calling for her. They both wanted to take her right here and now. I needed to get control of myself.

I wondered what type of woman she was. I had seen her twice now in lovely evening wear, although she didn't look entirely comfortable in the clothes, which made me wonder. I guessed it was because I wanted someone more down to earth.

I was very hopeful now that I had seen her dog. It was well-cared for and that meant well-exercised, and I was optimistic that it signified she might wear more practical clothes.

Although, I was wondering what she looked like with sexy lingerie. I needed to stop those thoughts and get control!

Aláine's Point of View

"I hope you like Italian. I found this little restaurant close to the park," said Kristof.

I smiled.

"It sounds perfect," I answered.

Kristof put his hand on my waist, leading me to the car. Again, with the touching. How was a girl supposed to think straight with all the thoughts of sex running through her mind? He held the door open for me so I could get in.

Kristof was the perfect gentleman, and I hoped it wasn't just an act. Tonight, he was driving a sleek black sedan, and I was glad. Limousines were nice and all, but I preferred something more realistic and not so flashy. The evening wear and expensive cars were not my style.

Much of dinner was spent getting to know Kristof and all about werewolves.

"We have three aspects: our obviously human aspect, our Lycan and our wolf aspects," began Kristof.

"So you don't turn into a half-human half-wolf that savages people, then?" I asked.

"The Lycan aspect is half-human and half-wolf, beautiful creatures, but we are always in control. We don't savage people like they do in movies and books."

I breathed a sigh of relief. I really didn't like the idea of being a mindless animal.

Kristof continued, "Each aspect has its pros and cons. However, we are far superior to normal humans or even wolves."

"How?" I asked.

"I am far stronger than humans, even in this form," he replied, "which is just one bonus."

"What are the others?"

Kristof just smiled seductively, then leaned over close to me. Extremely close.

"I would much rather show you," he said.

I could feel his breath lightly caress my ear and neck. It sent shivers down my body to rest in my groin area. Fuck! I instantly clenched my pelvic muscles, which in turn sent pulses to every part of my body.

Holy shit! This was what he could do to me without even touching me. What would it be like when I finally gave in to his advances? When? Fuck! I'd only just met him, and it's been about 24 hours.
