Vincent only nodded his head slowly in return, as if saying that the mission had been successfully carried out.

Seeing this, a conniving smile crossed Ryley's pretty face. He knew he was gambling with his biggest enemy, and that there was always a chance for Vincent to betray him.

But Ryley still trusted his gut feelings and risked having Vincent carry out the plan, because at this point, he couldn't rely on anyone else except Vincent.

He believed that Vincent wouldn't be that stupid so as to ignore the chance to get rid one of the biggest obstacles for his future with Starla.

To be fair, the blond had changed some parts of his initial plan after Vincent begged him not to involve Starla at all, knowing that she might get traumatized if she were to be the first to find out about her father's affair. 

"I won't ask much from you." Vincent said with a firm look. "I'm not going to do it if we are going to expose Shawn's affair through Starla."
