Feeling irked, Rayven yanked his hand away from Traute and turned his back on her.

"Sometimes I wonder why you are so loyal to my aunt. I know you're not that stupid, you are siding with me because you regard me as a much more worthy candidate to shoulder the burden of the throne once my aunt passes away." He muttered, heaving a deep sigh as if trying to calm the raging anger in his chest, or prevent tears from falling down his slightly puffy eyes.

"So stop acting dumb in front of me, Traute!"

A momentary silence followed the disappointment in his tone, but then Traute gently placed her palm on his shoulder and turned him towards her so that they faced each other again.

"I won't deny it, of course I want you to ascend the throne as the next Arcane sovereign. But don't expect me to remain silent or even support you if you plan to hurt Madam." Traute said in a firm tone.
