Chapter 317: Chapter 314 - Minefields

The Alpha turned around as soon as he felt the presence he had longed for. His brows crumpled downwards at the sight of the blond finding his way back home. 

Slowly burning in anticipation at each step the distance between them was closed— it was as if he could hear his heart beating again, because the only person who had ever taken it away had returned to him to put it inside his chest again. 

And when they reached the tips of each others' shoes, the yearning in those indecisive eyes seeped out. 

Clyde grasped Ryley's slender hand without taking his gaze off the blond's glassy eyes. He could never imagine the pain he had to go through if he really lost Ryley to a battle he could never win. He couldn't picture how his world would keep running without Ryley.

Under the shade of the fluttering curtain the two finally reunited in a warm embrace, wishing in their little hearts that no kind of obstacles should separate them again.
