The tension around them finally eased out a bit when Blair also followed suit. "Do you think I don't know what you did down there? You also sent your people in pursuit of a famous poison maker The Viper not so long ago, without properly reporting it to the council nor the sovereign either. How does that turn out? Do you finally manage to catch your boogeyman?"

"He's back, Blair. He sent a message with this lost book." Feeling mocked, Eldrin took out a book and slammed it on the table, right in front of the old man. "I didn't report what I did because it's my family's problem."

"What do you mean?" Blair furrowed his brows, racking his brain for a possible explanation.
