Without further ado, Lucas lifted Ryley from the chair, carrying the model in his arms as he walked towards the door. 

Seeing the man left without saying anything, Gracia could only drop her jaw in disbelief. She didn't think Lucas would do it so naturally, as if he had known Ryley for long.

Meanwhile, Lucas could only heave a deep sigh as he stared at the blond's sleeping face. 

His guilty conscience gnawed at his mind for hiding the truth from Ryley, but Lucas didn't have any other choice.

He had seen for himself just how dangerous Ryley was, and nothing could guarantee that the blond wouldn't do something that could drive a wedge between Clyde and his family if Lucas told him the truth.

After he carefully laid down Ryley on the bed, his phone vibrated from an incoming call. 

The man left the room and distanced himself to a quiet place when he received it, "Yes?"
